I've been working some on Wilhelmina's Estate. Wilhelmina, you may remember, is the matriarch of the town, and one tough old broad.
( Read on for more lovely picspam... )

I redid Harrington Heights (yes, again). I really wanted a bridge for my divided town plot, so now I have one. It was an absolute bitch to do, too. I forgot how picky the game is about bridges. I have, and recommend, GunMod's camera hack. I don't have a picture of what parts of the hood will be accessible without the mod.
Here's the hood in all it's glory: Heights at Mediafire
NOTE: I do have BV, so there are several beach lots in this hood. I can't guarantee what those shorelines will look like in games that don't have BV.
REMEMBER TO PUT THE DOWNLOADS INTO YOUR SC4 TERRAINS FOLDER, NOT THE DOWNLOADS FOLDER!
As some of you may know, I've worked on building a totally custom hood for many years now. I usually get frustrated and scrap it somewhere in the early stages. But tonight, I have a rare night to myself, and I'm thinking about resurrecting Harrington Heights. I have a lot of it saved to my MediaFire, and I'm not in the mood to play the DiPoteres lately. So, I think I'm going to give the Harringtons a shot. This time, I'll just be posting the Harrington stuff here, not to my other blogs or forums or whatnot. It'll be slow going, I'm sure, as all my projects are in my nutso busy life, but I've decided I really need to find a way to incorporate more me-time into the schedule, whether with sims, writing, reading, or just taking a bath. :)

I am sitting here, enjoying twenty minutes of peace and quiet online, while hubby puts the boy to bed.
Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms, fill-in Moms, Grandma's and Moms-to-Be!
In other news, I have a new job! So, my uber-busy life has actually gotten busier, if you can believe that. One week of training down, one to go...
I'm so out of the loop with all things Sims-related. I have no idea what the theme of the month is at GOS, read last week's SimSecrets and mostly went "Huh?", haven't updated my story in months (even though all the pics are ready to go), haven't played in months, can't even remember the last time I went to MTS2, have commented on I think one story in the past month...argh. I KNOW. I know I'm 35, and this stuff shouldn't bother me, but it does. I miss having time for Sims stuff and knowing what's going on in the community. Life is so crazy right now.
Hubby and I are in the midst of renovating our new house, I am busy wrapping up at my old job and trying to squelch the butterflies for my new job, I have an almost 2 year old, and we're thinking about trying for baby #2. Don't get me wrong. I am loving life and all this wonderful awesome stuff in it! I just wish I had some me-time too!!
So tell me...what do you do to make time for Sims when life is crazy? Have you ever just stopped playing altogether because you just couldn't fit it in?

Sorry it's been so long for the DiPotere's. In the last month the family and I have moved out of the apartments (no more apt managing!) and into a house which is a fixer upper to say the least. So we have been working our butts off, basically, with very little time for play. Things are going well, though, and hopefully I'll have a day to devote to Allie and Co. soon.
My job.
